PDF tools that respect your files
Merge, split, rotate, convert, watermark, sign, and clean up PDFs. 16 of these tools do the work in a background thread on your own device, so for those the file never leaves this tab — free, no account, no watermark.

Why it is built this way
Private by construction, not by policy
Doing the work in the browser rules out a few heavy jobs. In exchange, the privacy claim for everything else stops being something you have to take on trust.
It runs here, not there
The local tools never send your file anywhere. The work happens in a background thread in this tab, on your own processor, and the result is handed back as a download.
Nothing to leak
With no upload there is no copy on a server, no retention window to trust, and no breach on our side that could expose your documents.
No round trip
Skipping the upload and the queue is why a merge finishes as fast as your machine can write the file.
Check it yourself
Open a local tool, disconnect from the internet, and use it. If it still produces a file, nothing was sent. The Network tab will show the same.
Honest about limits
A few heavy jobs — Compress PDF, Protect PDF, Unlock PDF, PDF to Word, Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, PDF to Excel, HTML to PDF, OCR PDF, eSign PDF, and Repair PDF — run on our servers for Pro subscribers. The file is sent over HTTPS, processed in memory, and never stored.
How it works
Three steps, nothing to sign up for
- 01
Pick a tool
Choose from 28 that work today. Every card says where your file will be processed before you open it.
- 02
Drop in your file
For a local tool, the browser reads it into memory in this tab and hands it to a Web Worker on your own device. Nothing is sent.
- 03
Download the result
The output is built on your machine and offered as a download. No queue, no watermark, no account.
The catalogue
Every tool, by what it does
