Convert a spreadsheet to PDF

Excel to PDF on ilovspdfs prints each sheet of an .xlsx or .xls workbook as a table in a PDF, using the values the workbook holds. Cell formatting, charts and images are not reproduced. It runs on ilovspdfs servers as part of Pro: the file is sent over HTTPS, rendered in memory, and never stored.

About this tool

Each sheet becomes a section of the PDF, headed with the sheet's name, with its cells laid out as a bordered table in landscape. Formulas appear as the values the workbook last calculated. Column widths, fills, number formats beyond what the cell holds, charts and pictures are not carried across; the point of this conversion is a readable, searchable record of the numbers rather than a facsimile of the spreadsheet.

Questions

Is my file uploaded for this tool?
Yes. Unlike the tools marked Private, this one sends your file to an ilovspdfs server over HTTPS, processes it in memory, and streams the result straight back as the response. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is logged about the contents, and nothing remains once the response has been sent.
What happens to formulas?
They are shown as their last calculated values, which every spreadsheet program stores with the file. A workbook saved without calculated values shows the cells blank, and the result says so.
Will charts and formatting come through?
No. Charts, images, fills and column widths are not reproduced; the values are, as a plain table. Export from the spreadsheet program itself if the look matters.
Why does this tool need a Pro subscription?
Because it runs on hardware we pay for. Everything that runs in your own browser stays free with no account, at any file size. The cloud tools are the few jobs a browser tab genuinely cannot do, and Pro is what pays for the machines that do them.
